The police warned that any provocations on ethnic grounds would be strictly suppressed, Moscow department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

"The Moscow police will immediately suppress any manifestations of group violations of public order, bring offenders to the responsibility provided by law. Besides, in accordance with the migration legislation of the Russian Federation, measures related to the establishment of a temporary restriction on entry to the Russian Federation for a period of five years may be taken against foreign citizens," the statement noted.
