The Criminal Court of Appeal of Armenia denied the appeal by the Prosecutor's Office against the judicial act of the court of first instance to deny the motion for the arrest of Mikayel Minasyan, former Ambassador to the Holy See. Lawyer Mihran Poghosyan on Wednesday wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"We have had many occasions to say that the already second motion to detain Mikayel Minasyan is illegal and groundless, which was confirmed today by the Criminal Court of Appeal.

It is obvious that the political authorities of the country cannot tolerate this situation, and in the near future they will submit to the court the already third motion to detain Mikayel Minasyan," Poghosyan added, in particular.
