A telephone conversation took place between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia and Catholicos Aram I of the Armenian Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia.

The PM inquired about the current situation in Lebanon and the situation of Lebanese Armenians as a result of the powerful explosion in Beirut. He also referred to the humanitarian aid provided by Armenia to both the Lebanese people and the Armenian community of Lebanon.

The Catholicos provided general information to the PM on the damage suffered by the Lebanese-Armenian community as a result of the aforesaid explosion, as well as his assessment of the assistance provided by Armenia.

The PM noted that the consultations with the Catholicos should be continuous in order for the assistance provided by Armenia to be targeted.
