YEREVAN. – The about 100 citizens who returned to Armenia from Lebanon underwent a mandatory medical examination at the airport, indicated their places of residence in Armenia, according to which all of them had their places of residence, which were given to them to spend two weeks in isolation. We have not been given any petition that they do not have a place to spend the self-isolation, and they want us to provide such a place. Amalya Karapetyan, press officer of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of Armenia, said this in a conversation with Armenian News-NEWS.am.

As reported earlier, about 100 citizens have returned to Armenia on board the planes that delivered humanitarian aid to Lebanon from Armenia.

"If they [the aforesaid returnees] will have health, employment, education problems—because there were also minors among them, the full information leaflets of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs were provided to them at the airport. If they will have any questions—either during the quarantine regime or after that—they can apply us, regardless of whether or not the [Armenian] state has any packages; that is, we are ready to solve their problems as much as possible—until the government develops clear ways of assistance," Karapetyan added.

And asked whether more Armenians from Lebanon will return to Armenia after last week’s explosion in Beirut, Amalya Karapetyan noted that the relevant agencies are collecting data on the Armenian citizens in Beirut who have been left homeless as a result of this blast and wish to return to Armenia.
