Philippines interior minister Eduardo Ano said on Sunday that he had tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time, TASS reported.
In his statement, Ano said he wanted to attract the attention of all the people with whom he had been in close contact, so that they self-isolate, observe any symptoms in accordance with the recommendations of the health ministry and take appropriate measures.
The first COVID-19 case was reported in the Philippines on January 30. To date, the number of people infected in the country has exceeded 153.6 thousand, over 71.4 thousand patients have recovered, and 2.4 thousand people have died.
