YEREVAN. – World boxing champion Israyel Hakobkokhyan, who is on an indefinite hunger strike in downtown Yerevan, was visited Monday by former ruling Republican Party of Armenia senior officials Vahram Baghdasaryan, Galust Sahakyan, and Eduard Sharmazanov.
Sahakyan had a private conversation with Hakobkokhyan and expressed his support for him.
Speaking to reporters, Sharmazanov said that they stand with Hakobokhyan's demands and view and support him.
Baghdasaryan also expressed his support for Hakobkokhyan, and told reporters that he agreed with the issues raised by Hakobkokhyan.
As reported earlier, paramedics on Monday conducted a medical check-up on Israyel Hakobkokhyan.
Hakobkokhyan was visited by his colleagues, too.
He has been on a hunger strike for five days.
Israel Hakobkokhyan's hunger strike is directed against the Istanbul Convention, the Lanzarote Convention, the Amulsar gold mine project, and some other matters.
