Bill Morneau has stepped down as Canada's finance minister, the BBC reported.
Morneau was forced to resign after it was revealed that he had not reimbursed the costs of an overseas trip paid by the organization to which the minister went to familiarize himself with its work.
The minister said that he recently realized that he had not reimbursed the $ 41,000 expenses and wrote a check.
