YEREVAN. – The third president of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, does not agree that he is politically active. Sargsyan stated about this at his press conference Wednesday, answering a journalist's question as to whether his political activeness can influence the forthcoming report of the parliamentary inquiry committee which investigates the circumstances of the military actions in April 2016.
"There was confirmation in your question that I am showing great political activeness; I do not agree with that. What activeness have I shown that you have noticed? I do not consider today's press conference political activeness either because although the April [2016] four-day [war] is very closely connected with politics, today we are talking about the actual military actions, their causes and consequences," said Sargsyan, declining to assess the activities of the aforesaid committee.
