YEREVAN. – I did not say that the committee will not give any conclusion until 2050. Armenia’s third President Serzh Sargsyan stated this at his press conference Wednesday, referring to a journalist's question as to whether he had understood correctly that in his introductory remarks addressed to the members of the parliamentary inquiry committee which investigates the circumstances of the military actions in April 2016, Sargsyan had said that he would be in favor of this committee not giving any conclusions until the year 2050.

And when asked whether he hopes that this committee will refrain from presenting a conclusion at this moment—at least after the recent military actions in Tavush Province, Serzh Sargsyan responded as follows: "Anyone who wants to will have the opportunity to ask any question about the activities of the committee—after the report of the committee. Now it would not be right for us to express a biased opinion about it. But on the other hand, in that case, this press conference can be considered as pressure on the committee and its members; I do not have such a goal. I am patiently waiting for when the report of the committee will be and what circumstances will be covered in that report; then I will answer that question with great pleasure."
