Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan continues to chair discussions on the completion of activities of public administration bodies in 2019, as reported the news service of the Government of Armenia.

Today the acting head of the State Supervision Service, Deputy Head Rafael Zakaryan delivered a report on the activities carried out by the State Supervision Service in 2019. He stated that the actions were based on the priorities in the “Fight against Corruption” sector of the Program of the Government of Armenia and the government’s policy for the fight against corruption.

In particular, the Service participated in drafting the government’s decision on approving the Anti-Corruption Strategy and the 2019-22 Action Plan for Implementation of the Strategy, and the head of the Service became a member of the Anti-Corruption Policy Council. Throughout 2019 and during the first four months of 2020, the Service conducted more than 30 studies and 90 monitoring sessions, after which, based on preliminary results, the Service detected various violations, shortcomings, non-compliance, misuse and more.

Structural reforms were also made to increase effectiveness of the activities of the Service, and the Service launched an online system for ensuring contact with citizens. Zakaryan also provided information about the completion of the assignments of the Prime Minister in the reporting period.

Afterwards, Pashinyan touched upon several issues related to the activities of the Service and particularly shared his comments on supervision over completion of the assignments and attached importance to the work of interested state bodies and elimination of repetition of institutional functions.
