In 2017, former Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan made a statement in parliament, stating that there were several cases during the Four-Day Artsakh War when the military equipment wasn’t functioning due to low quality fuel, but he made a mistake. This is what third President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan told reporters today.
“I talked to Karen Karapetyan and he admitted that he had made a mistake. It was a mistake because when he was in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), some people had told him that perhaps there was such a problem with the military equipment, but later they verified the information and found out that there was no such problem,” the third President said.
Asked how many military posts the Armenian side lost during the war, Sargsyan said the following: “My exact figures might be viewed as pressure on the committee leading a probe into the circumstances behind the Four-Day Artsakh War. The committee has promised to release its report in September.”
