YEREVAN. – Comparing the situations of the previous two or three weeks, we can conclude that we have a stabilization of the coronavirus situation. The minister of health, Arsen Torosyan, said about this at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the government of Armenia.
According to the minister, the situation regarding the organization of respective medical care is mild and manageable in the country. "[But] I believe it will be very difficult to have lower cases than our cases being recorded this much daily," he added, in particular.
And Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted, however, that this "stability" can change and become "instability" at any time. "The public is reacting with excessive enthusiasm toward the pre-fall of the numbers. Of course, the numbers have decreased compared to July; but if we do not respond to the situation correctly, we will quickly return to the July situation. We know that we will have 2-3 fixed cases of death out of 100 fixed new cases. This is not only Armenia's problem; it is like that all over the world," said the Prime Minister.
Pashinyan also assured that no Armenia citizen shall be left without medical assistance, but the citizens themselves must make efforts not to be infected with the coronavirus.
