YEREVAN. – The residents of Yekmalyan Street in capital city Yerevan—and who have fallen victims to the eminent domain—on Thursday again gathered again outside the main building of the government of Armenia.

“We hoped that something would be resolved during this government because we have been waiting impatiently for many years, we were told, "Wait, there will be an investor, that other one will be," but we are still waiting,” one of these residents told the journalists.

The demand of these residents is but one: to pay attention to them and to resolve their housing issue.

Back in 2006, their apartments on Yekmalyan Street were demolished as eminent domain, but they have received neither new apartments nor compensation to date.
