YEREVAN. – The majority My Step faction of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia is currently holding a meeting at the headquarters of the ruling Civil Contract Party, and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is also in attendance.

It is not officially known at this time what matters are being discussed, but it is noted that in all likelihood, the matter of electing the government’s candidate for a judge of the Constitutional Court is on the agenda.

The likely candidate is Edgar Shatiryan, and he has given his respective initial consent.

Apparently, the NA will convene a special session—probably on Tuesday or Wednesday—to elect the candidates for three new judges of the Constitutional Court.
