The criminal case against Artur Danielyan, the head of the opposition Adeqvat union of Armenia, is in court; we learn this from DataLex Judicial Information System.
A fight had taken place on April 29 in Yerevan between Danielyan and Alen Simonyan, the vice-speaker of parliament, and Simonyan was recognized as the injured party in the case.
Danielyan was charged under the Criminal Code article on hooliganism, which has been accompanied by using violence against a person.
To note, however, although Alen Simonyan had said that he was the first to hit Artur Danielyan and that there is also footage of this incident, the Special Investigation Service has included only Danielyan as an accused in this criminal case.
