YEREVAN. – Past daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: According to Past newspaper’s information, there were quite serious disagreements behind the scenes of the halls of power in connection with the fact of [PM] Nikol Pashinyan congratulating the President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko [on his re-election], which [the disagreements] exist to this day.

The Western-leaning wing of the halls of power, which was openly dissatisfied with that move by Pashinyan, is in the role of the main critic in this issue.

According to our government source, especially the [respective] assessments coming from the so-called Soros sector have been quite harsh in this regard. By the way, in parallel with this, according to our information, plans are being discussed to organize new anti-Russian and anti-EEU campaigns.

And in the RA, the godfathers of such sentiments are a few Western-funded structures that play a significant and almost cornerstone role in this matter. Moreover, according to a special assignment, the representatives included in these structures and who are satellites must do everything [possible] to ensure organized consolidation in the entire protesting sector, in the information and public spheres, in parallel with the emergence of any anti-Russian wave.

According to the newspaper’s information, against this background, a new initiative will take place, which, according to the West, will further undermine the Armenian-Russian relations. In particular, we have information that in the near future it is planned that the EU and Western foundations will sharply increase the grants given to the RA.
