Based on the results of the first half of this year, the amount of gross agricultural production in Armenia has made up nearly AMD 240,000,000,000, as reported the Statistical Committee of Armenia.

After the first half of the year, compared with the same period last year, there has been 1.7% growth of gross agricultural production. There has been small growth after the first quarter of this year (4.5%), and the amount of gross agricultural production in that period made up more than AMD 73,600,000,000. The growth dynamic dropped in the second quarter, making up 0.6%.

Since 2016, sustainable decline has been noticed in the agriculture sector. The worst indicators were recorded in 2018 when there was 7.2% decline, and the total amount was nearly AMD 8,893,000,000, unlike the period before the crisis (AMD 945,400,000,000 in 2015). Last year, the situation became relatively stable (the rate of decline slowed down, but the sector was still declining).
