The Statistical Committee of Armenia has released operative data according to which the economic activity indicator has dropped in Armenia between January and July.

According to preliminary data, in the reporting period, the economic activity indicator has dropped by 5.7%. Despite the drop of annual indicators and sharp deterioration of indicators in March-April, starting from May, the situation started becoming a little stable. Based on the results of July, compared with June, the economic activity indicator rose by 9.7%. Nevertheless, Armenia is still having trouble recording the indicators it had before the crisis (compared with July 2019, the indicators are dropping by 10.2% in the same period this year).

According to operative data, between January and July, the volume of industrial products made up nearly AMD 1.06 trillion, which is 1.3% higher than the indicator recorded in the same period last year. The construction sector set a record in terms of indicators of decline. In the reporting period, the volumes of construction dropped by 22.6%, making up AMD 137,600,000,000.

Based on the results of the past seven months, there has been a decline in the annual indicators of the trade sector. Compared with the same period last year, the indicator dropped by 11%.

As for the service sector, between January and July, compared with the same period last year, the indicator dropped by 9.3%.
