Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan today held phone talks with his Georgian counterpart David Zalkaliani, as reported the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

Minister Mnatsakanyan expressed support to Zalkaliani with regard to the tragic car accident that took place in Dusheti, expressing condolences to the victims’ families and wishing the injured parties a speedy recovery.

The foreign ministers touched upon several issues on the bilateral agenda and attached importance to the exertion of ongoing efforts for further strengthening of multisector cooperation.

Ministers Mnatsakanyan and Zalkaliani exchanged views on the actions being taken to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus and address the socio-economic consequences of the coronavirus.

During the phone talks, the Armenian foreign minister attached importance to the actions targeted at the maintenance of peace, stability and security in the region and the partnership in this direction.
