Arrests of participants of the protest in Minsk have begun. As reported TUT.BY portal, the arrests began half an hour after people were gathered at the square.

“Moreover, power structures approached journalists and demanded that they don’t tape anything.

At around 7 p.m. people started gathering at Independence Square. Police officers with microphones reminded the protesters about violation of the existing legislation, after which the OMON and microbuses appeared. The underground passageways leading to Independence Square were closed with metal barriers.

Security forces have blocked the square and aren’t letting people exit, and nearly 1,000 people are in a blockade. The security forces have checked reporters’ documents and warned that they are going to start ‘cleaning’. The arrests began at around 7:30 p.m.”
