President of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Arayik Haroutyunyan today convened a working consultation devoted the organizing of the learning process at educational institutions during the new school year.
Minister of Education, Science and Culture of Artsakh Lusine Gharakhanyan presented the opportunities for organizing classes and the problems associated with this and particularly stated that, as a result of the cooperation between the Commandant’s Office and the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture has developed relevant principles and methodical assignments for educational institutions.
After discussions, it was decided that wearing face masks will be desirable, not mandatory at kindergartens, general education schools and higher education institutions, but there will be taking of temperatures and sanitation at all educational institutions on a daily basis.
Haroutyunyan stressed that even though the fight against the pandemic is an imperative, the issue of ensuring unimpeded operation of the education system is also pressing. He added that the risks of the pandemic haven’t decreased and that strict measures will be applied in case of detection of a new hotbed at any educational institution in order to prevent the spread of the virus.
