YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of Armenia writes: The European Court of Human Rights [(ECHR)] has made another decision against Armenia.

Zhoghovurd daily was informed that it is about the case Olimp Producers' Cooperative v. Armenia, and according to the published judgment, the Republic of Armenia is obligated to pay (…) the claimant [Armenian] drams equivalent of 2,400 euros for fair compensation set by the judgment.

But this is not the only [ECHR] decision [against Armenia]. The [Armenian] government has to pay drams equivalent of 26,000 euros already in the case of Anahit Mkrtchyan v. Armenia.

Let us noted that on October 30, 2001, Anahit Mkrtchyan's son died in the office of his battalion commander from a gunshot wound to the head. (…). In this case ECHR recorded a violation of Article 2 (right to life) of the European Convention on Human Rights.

And this [Armenian] government is once again giving money for the mistakes of the pervious ones.
