Russian president Vladimir Putin and Belarusian leader Aleksandr Lukashenko held phone talks Sunday as Putin warmly congratulated his counterpart on birthday, the Kremlin website reported.
“They reaffirmed the mutual disposition to further strengthen the Russian-Belarusian alliance and expand mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas.
It was agreed to hold a meeting in Moscow in the coming weeks, "the message says.
