The negative global trends have also had an impact on activity in the construction sector. Compared with the previous year, the amount of construction works carried out in the first half of this year has dropped by 13.7%, making up more than AMD 23,765,000,000. This is what the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Arstakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) reported in response to an inquiry from Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Moreover, whereas all other sources of funding for construction have been cut (by 12.2% at expense of state budget, 57.5% at expense of humanitarian aid, 15.1% at expense of organizations), the amount of construction at the expense of the funds of the population has increased by 41%.

The main construction works are in the transport sector, the mining industry and real estate transactions.
