The Investigative Committee of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) today reported that an anonymous person set 7 mansions, 3 shelters and one flour mill on fire in the Talish village of Artsakh. Tert.am reports that the Investigative Committee has disseminated the following clarification regarding this incident:

“On September 1, 2020, the Investigative Committee of Artsakh disseminated information about 7 mansions, 3 shelters and a flourmill of the Talish village of Martakert region being set on fire.

Taking into consideration the fact that the information was posted and made public by various media outlets, in addition, the Investigative Committee reports that the incident had taken place on July 28, 2018, but the Committee of Artsakh accepted the case for proceedings on August 28, 2020, as prescribed by legislation.”

Tert.am recalls that earlier, the Investigative Committee had reported that an anonymous person had set the mansions belonging to seven individuals and three shelters in Talish village of Martakert region, as well as the flour mill of the village on fire for the purpose of intentionally destroying or causing damage by setting on fire, causing particularly large amounts of damage to the properties of the specified natural and legal persons.
