An Armenian man by the name of Arayik Mirzoyan has been detained in connection with the murder of businessman Yevgeny Dedanin from Bugulma, Russia.

According to KazanFirst, the murder took place Tuesday, and Dedanin was shot at the entrance to his company office.

According to BIzNES Online’s sources, Dedanin sustained three fatal gunshot wounds to the head, neck, and heart.

The killer was demanding money from Dedanin, but the latter had refused to pay.

The murder suspect had tried to escape by car.

Mash writes that, according to local residents, there were two murderers, and one of them allegedly fled. The sources of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, however, do not confirm this version. According to this portal, the detainee is Arayik Mirzoyan, 54, a resident of Samara region. According to TFR, he has no Russian citizenship, and he was transferred to the investigative committee. "The murder weapon—the pistol—was also found at the scene," the committee said.

A criminal case has been initiated.
