Four young Diaspora Armenians will be working at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, as reported the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.

“I would like to welcome the “iGorts” initiative, which is undertaken by the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs and is being launched at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. I am very glad to state this because I am certain that this will be a major experience in the sense of learning from each other,” Minister Zaruhi Batoyan said as she received the participants of the “IGorts” program at the ministry.

The program provides Diaspora Armenian professionals with the opportunity to work for state bodies in Armenia and share their knowledge and experience for improvement and development of the relevant sectors and the development of policies and programs.

Over the next year, the first four participants of the “iGorts” program are from Lebanon, France and Russia and will be working at the Department for Equal Opportunities at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to support the programs and reforms being implemented to solve women’s and children’s issues.
