At Thursday’s Cabinet session, the government decided to allocate 232 million drams to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports in order to provide monthly sports benefits to Armenia’s winners and prize-winners of the Olympic Games, world and European Championships, athletes who have qualified for the 2021 Summer Olympics, as well as to the coaches and doctors of the country’s teams to compete in these Olympics so as to prepare for them.

The respective matter was presented by the minister of education, science, culture and sports, Arayik Harutyunyan.

The aforesaid benefits are planned to be given for a year, starting from August 1, and to be continue until the end of the 2021 Olympic Games.

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports proposes to allocate the above-mentioned amount from the government reserve fund.
