By the assignment of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia, representatives of the Office of the Human Rights Defender today paid a surprise visit to "Armavir" Penitentiary Institution to guarantee the rights of convicts on hunger strikes, as reported the Office of the Human Rights Defender.

The representatives held personal talks with the convicts on strike and checked their medical documents and had talks with other convicts.

The Office of the Human Rights Defender will sum up the results of the visit and address letters to competent state bodies.
