People aren’t able to leave Armenia, and this is a huge problem since there are citizens who live in Russia and are currently protesting in front of parliament. This is what deputy of the Prosperous Armenia faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Naira Zohrabyan said during a discussion on the package of bills on making amendments and supplements to the Law on Ensuring Sanitary-Epidemiological Safety of the Population of Armenia and related laws today.
“It is necessary to solve the problem with these citizens’ employment; otherwise, they will stay here like hostages. Prosperous Armenia Party doesn’t accept this legislative initiative,” Zohrabyan said.
With 80 votes ‘in favor’ and 28 ‘against’, the National Assembly of Armenia adopted the bill on declaring a lockdown in the first reading.
