The first court hearing on the criminal case regarding the brawl between President of Adekvad Union Artur Danielyan and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan will take place on September 9, as reported the Judicial-Information System.

The case has been inscribed to Judge Armine Meliksetyan of the Yerevan court of general jurisdiction.

The brawl took place on April 29, and Alen Simonyan was recognized as a victim.

Artur Danielyan is charged with hooliganism accompanied by use of violence against a person. What has bewildered the public is the fact that even though Alen Simonyan had said that he had hit Danielyan first and there is a video of the incident, the Special Investigation Service has only engaged Artur Danielyan as the accused.

According to the indictment, Danielyan intentionally and brutally disturbed public order and clearly showed a disrespectful attitude towards a person, committed a hooligan act that was accompanied by use of violence against a person.
