Speaking at a press conference conference in Ankara, Turkey’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu addressed Congo’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean-Claude Gakosso in Russian. Gakosso is on a working visit to Turkey, RIA Novosti reports.

“Thank you very much,” Cavusoglu said in Russian as he addressed Gakosso after their joint press conference.

Earlier, Cavusoglu had declared that he has learned Russian so much that he is able to joke with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin during their meetings.

In 1983, Gakosso graduated from the Department of Journalism at Leningrad State University, after which he went on to become a successful politician in his country where he has held high positions throughout the years.
