Director of the National Archives of Armenia State Non-Commercial Organization (SNCO) Amatuni Virabyan has been dismissed upon the order of Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan, as reported spokesperson of the Ministry of Justice Lusine Martirosyan.

“Based on several complaints and applications, the Ministry of Justice launched a study to verify the lawfulness of the activities of the SNCO and had sent an inquiry to the State Revenue Committee of Armenia to obtain information about the tax inspections conducted within the SNCO.

According to the information received, Director of the National Archives of Armenia SNCO Amatuni Virabyan maintained accounting with violations that entailed reduction of tax, and as a result, tax obligations weren’t fulfilled on time.

Taking as a basis the aforementioned and guided by the law on state non-commercial organizations, by the order of the Minister of Justice of Armenia, the powers of Director of the National Archives of Armenia SNCO have been terminated, and the employment contract concluded on November 27, 2015 has been dissolved,” Martirosyan reported.
