YEREVAN. – I am going to liquidate my shop because we work without income, with minus income, so to speak. A participant in Armenia’s retail entrepreneurs’ protest in front of the main government building said this.

As reported earlier, according to these protesters, there have been changes in the customs clearance of goods, and these changes may become a reason to pay several times more for imported goods.

"We urge the government to reconsider, at least how we worked under the conditions of the [COVID-19] pandemic, at least we should have those privileges until we get out of this situation, see what awaits us," the aforesaid demonstrator said.

According to her, they are on the verge of absolute destruction during the current pandemic.

Then the protesters marched to the State Revenue Committee building to raise their issue, but they were told there that they should go to the Ararat Customs House-Department, and the customs officer there would respond to their queries.

Subsequently, the demonstrators marched to the aforementioned customs department, saying that they will go everywhere until their problem was resolved.
