Armenia’s minister of defense Davit Tonoyan on Wednesday received Polish Ambassador Pawel Czaplak, and the military attaché, Colonel Wojciech Wisniewski.

First, the minister congratulated Colonel Wisniewski on starting his mission in Armenia and wished him fruitful work.

Underscoring the Armenian-Polish cooperation in the defense sector, Tonoyan noted that despite the restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, thanks to the efforts of the parties, it became possible to resume—in early September—the activities of the Armenian-Polish military cooperation envisaged by the 2020 plan.

Ambassador Czaplak, in his turn, expressed the readiness of the Polish side to develop this cooperation.

The parties agreed to restore the dynamics of this cooperation.

Also during the meeting, the Armenian defense minister presented the security issues that are developing in the region.
