The Court of Appeal of Armenia today postponed examination of the appeal of the Prosecutor General’s Office against the decision to dismiss the proceedings of the criminal case regarding Judge Davit Grigoryan of the Yerevan court of general jurisdiction and secretary of the court hearings Gor Vardanyan since the working hours were over.

The Court set the next date for the court hearing for October 1.

On June 5, 2020, based on the absence of corpus delicti, Judge Davit Balayan ruled to discontinue criminal prosecution against Grigoryan and Vardanyan and dismiss the case proceedings.

Grigoryan was charged with official fraud, and Vardanyan was charged for assisting in the committal of official fraud.
