Lebanon’s acting Minister of Labor Michel Najar says the reason for the fire that broke out at the harbor in Beirut could have been the repair works during which an angle driver was used, RIA Novosti reports.

Najar stated that inquest will be launched right after the firefighters’ works and will help clarify all the details of the incident.

A large fire broke out in the fuel and tires storage rooms in the free customs zone at the harbor in Beirut.

According to the Lebanese Red Cross, there are no victims and injured parties.

The President of Lebanon will hold a session of the Higher Defense Council in regard to the incident.
