The European Union is ready to take further restrictive measures against Turkey, if Ankara renounces dialogue to ease tension in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Based on the results of the summit in Corsica, the EU Mediterranean coastal countries issued statement reaffirming their ‘full support to and solidarity with Cyprus and Greece in regard to repetitive encroachments against their sovereignty, as well as Turkey’s confrontation’.
