The most important thing is that the state starts from the border. People living under fire should differ from those living in downtown and deserve special attention. Gagik Tsarukyan—chairman of the opposition Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), MP, and business tycoon—stated this Friday during a meeting with his fellow party members and supporters in Voskevan village of Tavush Province.

"Great attention must be paid to the border. If a person lives with his family under fire day and night, he must sense that difference. The resident here is also a soldier and a border guard, and the difference should be huge as compared to the downtown of the country," he said.

Tsarukyan stated that he has always shown his respect and attention to Armenia’s border communities, and will continue to do so.

Also the PAP leader asked a question to the incumbent authorities: "What have you done today other than fining the people and raising [their] taxes?"

"I have come [here] to say: Dear people, what is needed in your community today? Tell [me], let me serve as an example, turn my words into deeds, make them a reality," Gagik Tsarukyan added.
