The Seismic Protection Service of Armenia on Monday recorded a magnitude-2.8 earthquake at the Armenia-Georgia border zone, at 11:10pm local time, 17 km northeast of Ashotsk village of Shirak Province, according to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
It measured magnitude 3-4 at the epicenter.
The hypocenter of this seismic activity was 10 km beneath the surface.
The quake was felt in Dzyunashogh, Metsavan, and Paghaghbyur villages of Lori Province—and with magnitude 2-3.
