France on Saturday said it welcomes a humanitarian truce between Azerbaijan and the Armenians of Artsakh in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, Reuters reported referring to the press service of the French Foreign Ministry.
At the same time, the country's Foreign Ministry noted that now the truce should be fully implemented to create conditions for the final cessation of hostilities.
It must now be fully implemented and strictly considered in order to create conditions for a final cessation of hostilities between the two countries, said French Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Agnes von der Muhll.
Substantive discussions, in which the parties are involved under the auspices of the Minsk Group co-chairs, should be resumed without preconditions, the French Foreign Ministry spokesman said in a statement.
