Armenians of Strasbourg today held a march for peace in Nagorno-Karabakh, as reported Radio France Bleu.

According to Radio France Bleu’s information received from the organizers and the city police, the march gathered 1,200 citizens who were mainly representatives of the Armenian communities of France, Belgium and Germany. The demonstrators waved the Armenian flags over their heads and held signs supporting the ceasefire. The march began from Strasbourg Cathedral and ended at Place Kleber in central Strasbourg.

As one of the organizers declared during the rally, the aim of the march in Strasbourg is to call the attention of the European Parliament and the Council of Europe to the events that are taking place. According to the organizer, the demonstrators insist that the United Nations Security Council adopt a resolution, the European Parliament convene a special session and peaceful negotiations are launched, TASS reports.
