Allegations by the Azerbaijani leadership that the Armenian armed forces allegedly attempted to attack in the direction of Hadrut and Jebrail and shoot at a white-flagged sanitary vehicle collecting corpses in the Azerbaijani-controlled area are unfounded and are aimed at blaming the Armenian side for the violation of the humanitarian ceasefire. Shushan Stepanyan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, on Sunday informed about this on Facebook.

"A joint statement issued at the level the Foreign Ministers [of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan] on October 10 clearly states that the exchange of POWs and other detainees, the bodies of casualties between Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] and Azerbaijan shall be carried out with the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross and in accordance with the criteria of the latter, which is not happening at the moment due to the ongoing hostilities by the Azerbaijani armed forces..

We consider the accusations of the Azerbaijani side as a primitive provocation and draw the attention of the interested parties to this fact," Stepanyan added.
