Azerbaijani media outlets have reported that, allegedly, artillery strikes were carried out against the Defense Army units retreating in the direction of Karmir Shuka village, resulting in heavy losses. The Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Defense Army (DA) noted this in a statement it released Monday morning.
"The Azerbaijani propaganda machine, as usual, distorts the reality, trying to prove at all costs [Azerbaijan president] I. Aliyev's empty statement about taking control of [Artsakh’s] Hadrut [town].
The DA units continue to confidently carry out the set combat tasks along the entire length of the frontline. At the same time, the DA units successfully stop the offensive operation attempts of the Azerbaijani armed forces, which did not adhere to the humanitarian ceasefire regime.
The military operation to blockade and destroy the penetrated [Azerbaijani] sabotage-reconnaissance team continues in the direction of Hadrut. The operative situation is under the full control of the DA," the Artsakh Defense Army statement also reads, in particular.
