We have no domestic political agenda now, and our political party and 12 other extra-parliamentary forces have issued a statement stating that this is a major and historic period for our country and that we must not proceed with domestic political agendas. This is what Spokesperson of the Republican Party of Armenia Eduard Sharmazanov told reporters after the meeting that Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan held with extra-parliamentary forces today.

Asked what the aim of this meeting was, Sharmazanov said this is a question that should be addressed to the Prime Minister or his representatives and added that the topic was the hostilities.

Asked if the views of the Republican Party of Armenia on the Artsakh issue coincide with the views of the Prime Minister, Sharmazanov said the Republican Party of Armenia has clearly stated that Arstakh will not be a part of Azerbaijan.

As far as the discussion on the independence of Artsakh is concerned, he said he couldn’t present the whole conversation and added that Artsakh’s independence must be recognized at a time when this will strengthen Armenia’s positions and when recognition will be continued by other international actors.
