YEREVAN. – Within the framework of his official visit to Moscow, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan had a closed discussion-meeting—at RIA Novosti news agency—with Russian analysts and political scientists, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed.

During the meeting, various issues related to regional and international developments were touched upon. At the heart of the discussion, however, was the current situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) conflict zone, and which was created by the large-scale aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan—and with the active intervention of Turkey.

FM Mnatsakanyan drew the attention of those present to the illegal methods of warfare waged by the Azerbaijani military-political leadership, and which are accompanied by gross violations of international law.

During the discussion, reference was also made to the modus operandi of the extra-regional actors in the South Caucasus, and which is an attempt to change the balance and security perceptions in the region.

In this context, the Armenian FM drew the meeting participants' attention to Turkey's destructive policy aimed at inciting regional instability by way of involving foreign armed terrorists and extremist groups in the current hostilities at the Karabakh conflict zone.
