Ambassador of France to Armenia Jonathan Lacote has expressed condolences on the occasion of the death of student of the French University in Armenia Shant Navoyan, who was killed in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.

“Shant Navoyan was a student of the French University in Armenia. Like his friends, he was passing military service this year, and for the past two weeks, passing military service means being at war.

At the age of 19, he died on the Karabakh front today.

I express my condolences to his family, relatives, friends and the entire community of the French University in Armenia.

Through its university, France believes in the future of young Armenians, and the war that has hit Armenia is taking them away from us,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
