The Embassy of Belarus in Armenia has issued the following statement:

“Taking into consideration the meeting of Chargé d'Affaires of Belarus in Armenia Sergey Trotsyuk and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Vahe Enfiajyan on October 12, the Embassy of Belarus deems it necessary to make the following statement:

As is known, during the October 4 phone talks between the Presidents of Armenia and Belarus, a clear and unequivocal response was given to the Armenian president’s question, and that is the following: no military cargo has been supplied to Azerbaijan and Armenia with respect to the military industrial complex over the past six months. This means there is no sense in discussing this again.

Belarus regrets to see the resumption of hostilities in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. In the current situation, it is extremely important to stop the bloodshed and avoid new deaths.

For this reason, the Embassy of Belarus would like to call attention to the September 28 statement issued by the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in which Belarus called on Azerbaijan and Armenia to stop the hostilities, reject the use of weapons and find means for a peaceful settlement of the situation.

Belarus is ready to provide any support in order to contribute to the dialogue of the sides.

In addition, Belarus believes it is appropriate for Armenia’s media to pay attention to only verified information when it comes to sensitive issues such as military-technical cooperation.”
