The Representative of Armenia before the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has posted the following on the Representative’s Facebook page:
“The European Court of Human Rights rejected the appeal filed by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu, who had requested that the Court reconsider its decision and lift the interim measure indicated in the case of Armenia v. Turkey.”
On October 6, the ECHR decided to apply an interim measure against Turkey.
In today’s decision, the Court called on all States directly or indirectly involved in the conflict, including Turkey, to refrain from actions that would contribute to breaches of the Convention rights of civilians and to respect their obligations under the Convention.
