Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan today held phone talks with Secretary General of the Organization of American States Luis Almagro, as reported the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

The interlocutors discussed the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. Minister Mnatsakanyan presented the agreements on the cessation of fire through a statement adopted at the ministerial level on October 10 and Azerbaijan’s steps to renounce it. According to Mnatsakanyan, by implementing a large-scale aggression against the people of Artsakh, deliberately targeting civilians and vital infrastructures and carrying out murders of the civilian population under their control, Azerbaijan is showing its real goals to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict militarily and physically annihilate the population of Artsakh.

The minister expressed gratitude to the Secretary General of the Organization of American States for the Organization’s consistent position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The parties strictly condemned Azerbaijan’ actions aimed at violating the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination and life through the involvement of extra-regional and foreign armed terrorists.
